Description
Teaching your 7th grade students to determine an author’s point of view and analyze how the author distinguishes their position from that of others? This 46 page mini-unit includes all you need to check for understanding of RI.7.6. With this standards-based resource, students will have the opportunity to read 3 nonfiction passages and use passage prompts to cite evidence and analyze each selection. Students will practice writing reviews, considering the opposing view, and putting their persuasive skills to work with a job application. This resource includes everything you need to check for understanding, including a summative assessment with a rubric. All answer keys are also included, as well as a teacher guide breaking down the standard into learning targets and Depth of Knowledge (DOK) stages.
