Description
Analyzing the text structure of poetry and drama doesn’t have to be boring! This CCSS aligned resource gives students the opportunity to analyze the structure and form of several different poems and plays to determine meaning. By the time they are done with these activities, students will be able to:
- determine the form of a poem
- determine the form of a drama
- analyze how form impacts the meaning of a poem/drama
- analyze how sound repetition and rhyme impacts the meaning of a poem/drama
This resource includes everything you need to check for understanding, including a summative assessment with a rubric. All answer keys are also included. Teaching the ELA standards requires the teacher to break down the standard and make sure they are checking for student mastery in all the elements of the standard, and we’ve got that covered with this resource!
